About us

The ACEDE Early Career Network (ECN-ACEDE) is a scientific network that brings together researchers in the early stages of their academic careers within the ACEDE community. It is aimed at pre-doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, assistant lecturers, PPLs… who have defended their thesis within the last five years.

Its purpose is to promote the generation and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the fields of economics and business, whilst strengthening a support network among early-career researchers to facilitate the exchange of experiences, opportunities and academic collaboration.

ECN-ACEDE was established in 2023 with the mission of promoting the academic and professional development of early career scholars within ACEDE. Its main objectives include:

To promote the generation and dissemination of knowledge in the field of economics and business management.
To consolidate a supportive academic community, facilitating the exchange of ideas, experiences and opportunities amongst early-career researchers.
To foster scientific collaboration and mutual enrichment within the network.
To provide training in the research process, as well as cross-disciplinary training in key skills for professional development and academic wellbeing during the early stages of a research career.

To this end, ECN-ACEDE promotes and coordinatesa range of academic and networking activities—such as seminars, workshops and reading groups—aimed at strengthening the research community and contributing to the scientific and professional development of its members.

ECN-ACEDE works closely with the various sections of ACEDE to organise activities aimed at early-career researchers across all fields of knowledge covered by the association. This collaboration is channelled through the ECN delegates in each section.
