ECN-ACEDE Seminars

One of ECN-ACEDE’s main objectives is to serve as a network for training, consultation and support for researchers in the early stages of their research. To this end, ECN-ACEDE organises three types of seminars aimed at improving the quality of research. Depending on the stage of development of the research idea, these seminars are divided into:

  • Regular Seminars:
Presentation of research that is in its final stages. These sessions aim to improve the theoretical framework, methods, data analysis and contributions of an existing article before it is submitted to a prestigious journal or an international conference. These sessions will last one hour, divided between the presentation of the article (30 minutes) and a discussion with an expert reviewer in the field (30 minutes).
  • Development Seminars:
Presentation of ongoing research (15 minutes) with the aim of obtaining feedback on how to improve the work. The discussion (45 minutes) will be led by the rest of the association’s members as a brainstorming session addressing the approach to the issue, the theoretical framework, the methods used or robustness tests, amongst other aspects.
  • Ideas Seminars:
Presentation of nascent ideas (10 minutes) with the aim of connecting different researchers with one another. Furthermore, these idea seminars will help to sketch out an initial outline for the research, assisting in choosing the correct theoretical framework from which to start, the appropriate empirical strategy to follow, and the methods to be used, thanks to the discussion led by the other members (20 minutes).

If you would like to submit your work in any of these three categories, please do not hesitate to register using the form below: https://forms.gle/3GuBaRTLg2KkV5Mp7.

In addition, ECN-ACEDE organises annual seminars in collaboration with the various ACEDE sections, with the aim of encouraging the exchange of knowledge among early-career researchers working in the same field and connecting them with more senior members of the sections. In addition, the network also promotes Speed Networking seminars, a more informal and dynamic space for interaction designed to facilitate networking among researchers.

We’re looking forward to seeing you!
