1st Online Workshop of the International Management Section of ACEDE: "Teaching experiences in the university classroom in a global world"

On April 22, 2026, the 1st Online Workshop of the International Management Section of ACEDE will take place, titled “Teaching experiences in the university classroom in a global world”.

We encourage the members of our section to join this initiative by submitting their teaching experience. Submissions should reflect the context of the teaching experience, its development, the main results (achieved or expected), and its applicability. To facilitate the submission process, a Word document or a PowerPoint poster template is available for your use, which you can send to the section’s secretary, Lorena Ruiz Fernandez (lorena.fernandez@ua.es).

The event will be held in the morning session from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM via an online communication platform. In addition to the presentation of the selected teaching experiences, a seminar will be given by Francisco Javier Palencia (UNED) on Generative Artificial Intelligence applied to university teaching.

Proposal Submission Period: December 15 to April 10.

SEMINAR Internacional Management: "Measuring business internacionalization with Orbis global Business Information: data, indicators and rigor for research"

This seminar aims to introduce the Orbis Global Business Information database as a source of information with analytical potential for measuring variables related to international business research. It is aimed at participants who want to learn how to identify relevant variables, evaluate data quality, detect biases, and justify measurement decisions in academic research.

At the pre-congress meeting of ACEDE the section (June 2023), the results of two teaching innovation projects by members of the section were discussed.

  • “Is there dishonest behavior in college classrooms?” By Nuria Alcalde Fradejas, Marisa Ramírez Alesón and Mercedes Mazo from the University of Zaragoza.
  • “SDGs and responsible international entrepreneurship” By Antonia M. García Cabrera, Mª Gracia García Soto and Sonia Suárez Ortega, from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; and Cristina López Duarte y Marta Vidal Suárez, from the University of Oviedo.
